WHAT IS DIBOND® ?
Dibond® is comprised specifically of two aluminum facers thermobonded to a solid polyethylene core. Dibond® is resistant to moisture and is therefore suitable for long term usage. This composite material won't bow and keeps its extremely flat shape along time. For added resistance and flatness in time, an aluminum profile subframe is attached to the reverse of the mounted material, it can
then be hung onto a batten fixed to the wall. Moreover, A subframe moulding gives the impression that the artwork "floating" from the wall. The moulding is approximately 30mm wide
The aluminium compound boards are frequently used for external cladding of buildings (building facades), for insulation and for signage. Today it is the ideal support for photographic and FineArt prints. Dibond® is fireproof and offers flammability standard DIN 4102 - B2/M1.
Dibond has an indoor longevity of 100 years. This makes it suitable for mounting Epson Fine Art photographs that offer, in combination with Diasec®, at least 100 years of color guarantee.
